Day 3: Water & Orientation

We have different relationships to and stories about water: how it has saved or defeated us. How it reminds us of family vacations, outdoor adventures, or the hot summers of our childhood. How it might symbolize a place we’ve left behind, or a location we dream to go.

How will you interpret this theme? How can you tell a story with water?

Anywhere near the ocean is where I would like to be.

Calming.

Soothing.

Quiet.

There is nothing more to my story than those three words.

I take lots of pictures of the ocean, beach, sunrises, sunsets, street views…

Someone recently asked me why I take so many photos and with whom I share them.

My response?

I take these photos for ME (and they make lovely screensavers on my work computer).

And who do I share them with?

I have the pleasure of sharing them with YOU!

This photo was taken very early in the morning and before the rest of the world began to stir. I choose a horizontal view to capture the expanse of the ocean, the hotels in the distance and the few beach walkers at that hour.

  1. U know something, it may sound very strange to you but the above picture is EXACTLY the picture I get in my dreams (not once but many a times) where I am found swimming/floating/playing in the water BUT only at night time or when its dark and also that I am a perfect stranger to people around me
When I saw this picture, I was like OMG! this can’t be true…

Great blogs thrive because of comments and readership. I'd love to hear from you!
