Day 14: Extend Your Brand – Please Help Me With 25 Facebook Likes

As soon as you started publishing, you became a brand: you announced to the world, “This is the place on the internet where you come to find XYZ.”

Today’s task: extend your brand with one of the following: a custom Blavatar, a custom image widget, or a fan page.

Just when I was about to look into how I could leverage Facebook with WP to increase interactivity with readers and other bloggers and just when I was in the midst of admiring @ChowKimWan’s new FB widget, Day 14 challenges us to “extend your brand”.

I don’t believe in coincidences.

Naturally, I chose to create a Facebook Page and added it as a widget on the right-hand side of my blog.

What would I like to do with this FB Page?

Basically, I would like a platform where we could engage and have more fruitful discussions than in a comment box on WP.

The FB Page is a bit slim at the moment. But as time goes on, I will add content that relates to more day-to-day topics, the one-off duplicate fiction piece as well as content related to FB-based writing challenges.

From what I understand, if I am able to gather up 25 Likes on FB, I will be able to claim the URL path name to match my blog and I definitely want that! 

So, could you help a girl out and “like” my Facebook Page?

I would truly appreciate it!

Great blogs thrive because of comments and readership. I'd love to hear from you!
