It Never Ends Well

When I …

don’t eat breakfast,

don’t prepare my lunch ahead of time,

run out to do a quick errand on my lunch break

on an empty stomach and

there is a Starbucks nearby…

well, let’s just say that it never ends well

for me.

Yup, a marshmallow-infused whipped cream milk chocolate sauce creamy blend of graham, coffee, milk and ice topped off with more marshmallowy whipped cream and a graham cracker crumble S’mores Frappuccino which is supposedly new (did I say that in one breath?).

It was good but I prefer my tried and true Java Chip or Mocha Coconut.

When I am on vacation, I pretend that frappuccinos have no calories and indulge more than I should.

But when I am home, I know better, do better and try not to indulge too often.

Just not today.

Are they tasty? Yes.

Are they overpriced? Hell yes.

Are they easy and cheap to make at home? Definitely, yes.

But I rarely make these at home because it is a slippery slope that I don’t want to roll down too often. Otherwise, I will roll down because I simply can’t walk down.

A store-bought one, once in a blue moon indulgence is not so bad.

Right?

Unburden your secrets in the comment box below and tell me, how often do you committ these types of “sins”?

  1. You gotta give yourself a break and enjoy delicious things. When I was in nursing school I had NO time and NO sleep = massive Starbucks addiction. And Red Bull. Thank goodness I make most of my own coffee from home now and made a rule: I get coffee after hikes with the dogs so they get whipped cream, the end. Although if I’m PMS-ing no man or machine can stand between me and a big plate of chili cheese fries.
