Merry Christmas To Me

It’s not often that I treat myself.

So this Christmas, I am treating myself to one item that I “need” and one item I “always wanted” to have.

Drum roll please…..

This beautiful 2016 Moleskine planner will only contain writing-related content like potential blogs ideas, scheduled dates to tackle certain writing projects, etc.

No 9-5 day job or errands will be allowed onto these pages…

I have always wanted a pair of stylish prescription sunglasses, especially for vacations in the sun.  And it’s about time I just bite the bullet and do it!

My frugal nature has always led me to spend no more than $15 on sunglasses that I can simply throw into a suitcase and not really care about breakage. But with cheap non-prescriptive sunglasses and being near-sighted, it always meant that I would see nothing clearly. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

I am not one to chase brand names and the excessive packaging for these glasses had me shaking my head at how ridiculous it was. But I swallowed part of my disdain and took the plunge when I realized that prescription part of the glasses would be partially covered by my health insurance…

Now, I just need some sun to test them out! 🙂

Will you be treating yourself to something that you want this Christmas? Tell me in the comment box below!

  1. Gorgeous planner & equally gorgeous sunglasses – well done for treating yourself!

I treated myself to a 21 carat gold Lazurde necklace, not necessary but beautiful.

Happy Holidays to you and yours x

  2. You have inspired me! I was just talking to a friend about my need for one journal dedicated to my writing.

I have been toying with the idea of gifting myself with a new laptop. It dawned on me that I’ve been tapping on these same keys for 8 years now. Wow!

  3. I am treating myself to a new pair of prescription glasses with transition lenses–fancy one’s that I love. Last year (well a year and a half ago), I fell in love with the glasses but they were too expensive so I settled on a less expensive pair. This time, thanks to insurance and a wonderful husband, I’m getting the pair I really want, plus I got new contact lenses.

Great blogs thrive because of comments and readership. I'd love to hear from you!
