In the late 70s and early 80s, I was knee-deep into all that great music from the UK so from the moment I saw George Michael in “Young Guns“, followed by “Wham Rap” and “Club Tropicana“, my pre-teen heart was more than a little infatuated (*cough* swimfan *cough*).
And that part of the “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” video where George looks straight into the camera, hugs himself with those cheesy yellow gloves with no fingers? My heart would stop each and every time…totally not kidding.
Ahhh, I miss the good old simple days of being young and in love with a celebrity!
My favorite slow songs will always be “Careless Whisper” and “One More Try” but here is one song you may not know as well with beautifully haunting song about the lies of false love…you can interpret these lyrics in so many ways.
