Zoning out.

White noise.

The words coming out of someone’s mouth, seeing their lips move but your brain not comprehending what that person is saying.

Feeling like you’re walking through mud in a world of slow-motion…

When I’ve been on the receiving end of bad news, that’s what it has felt like to me and that is the feeling I was trying to convey in the prologue to Kate’s story – how her mind wanders to something as ridiculous as the lack of style, taste and color of her doctor’s office instead of focusing on the much more important fact that she is dying. Kate is able to keep her composure until she can implode within the four walls of her own home alone.

If you were in her shoes, what would you do?

If you haven’t already met Kate, you can get to know her in the “Living To Die (Teaser)Prologue.
