This week’s Song Lyric Sunday Theme: Peace is hosted by Helen at “This Thing Called Life One Word at a Time“.

It’s my brother’s fault that I’ve always loved Christopher Cross’ music. Being ten years older than me, I would often listen to whatever he was listening to. Whenever I hear this smooth, easy, free flowing and peaceful song, I think of my oldest brother.

Then, my mind drifts to past vacations of sitting in the on the beach watching boats in the distance and listening to nothing but the ocean waves.

Calm. Chill. Peaceful.

<

Sailing takes me away to where I’ve always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

  1. This sure is pure bliss and peace for me. It mentions sailing away, which could be water, but when I hear it I imagine I can fly and am sailing along on a current of air, high high up in the sky with the clouds. Ahhhhhhh!!!
