This week’s Song Lyric Sunday Theme: Apology/Sorry is hosted by Helen at “This Thing Called Life One Word at a Time“.

I don’t think that I’m alone when I say that there is something oh-so-satisfying when the one who let you go crawls back full of apologies, realizing that they made a huge mistake and begs for a second chance…

A second chance that you would never ever entertain.

I love the lyrics of this song BUT I always shake my head at how the video ends.

Foolish, foolish girl…

I didn’t appreciate when you were mine
And now I’m asking
God just once turn back the hands of time, yeah
So I can fix some wrongs give me another,
Give us another chance
Girl, I just can’t live without you
And living with regret

(partial lyrics)

Songwriters: Atozzio Towns / Melvin Coleman / Elgin Lumpkin

  1. No she didn’t! What the hell? Haha. My only thought was, “What an ass; and on her wedding day too…” But she really went for it! Oh well, I guess we all fall for it sometimes. Great choice this week. Thanks for sharing!
