Fear is scary.
We all have something in our lives that we’re afraid of. And as you read this, your mind may drift to the fears you’re struggling with right now.
Fear comes in all shapes and forms and one person’s fear is no greater than anyone else’s fear.
Fear is fear. Plain and simple.
For some, embarrassment and/or shame stops them from speaking about what scares them while others seek refuge in fear as a means to stay safely in a quiet corner with Mr. Status Quo. Either way, fear keeps us from ever knowing what joy and beauty could be waiting around the corner.
Giving a voice to fear makes it less scary, especially when you realize that you aren’t alone.
And when the fear is less scary, the more power you feel to do something to about it.

I love this! I’m totally in line with your thinking. The worse thing in the world is to live in fear. Not even talking about large fears like bombing or invasion or war. Small fears of small wars. Fear of trying, fear of failing, fear of losing face. All these fears are mine and I’m beating them, Slowly, day by day. In the physical and the metaphysical before you create or destroy yo must name, identify. “The Name Means Everything”

I can connect with your piece. I would love to get to the stage where I am fearless. Not reckless or dangerous fearlessness, but being in control and not be controlled by real or imagined things.

I think there is room for fear in life, it shows a cation that is needed at times, a way for our brains to help us be safe, but I also believe giving into every fear doesn’t lead you anywhere. Fear isn’t always about bad things either- it can be a fear of success too which can really put a damper in your hopes and dreams. i think overcoming the ones that are not helpful to your life and making yourself ‘less’ of a victim will provide a better quality of life.

I feel like I’m in every direction with fear. In some ways, it rules my life. Too many ways. Fighting it never seems to work… having more of it doesn’t necessarily make me spring into action… and I haven’t figured out how to escape it…

Yeah, some of us are in bigger battles than others. One baby step at a time I guess but that also makes it feel that it will take a few lifetimes to conquer…ugh!😑

So true! I want immediate gratification. I exercised this morning. I should be down 5 pounds by tomorrow. Hahaha!

I like your post. Thanks. Fear is such a central topic to master if one wants to master life. If we manage to want less, we’ll experience less fear…
