A is for Actions #AtoZChallenge @AtoZChallenge

taken from Google

Words are worthless and pretty promises don’t mean ish if he never follows through on what he says with real ACTIONS.

“I didn’t mean it. It won’t happen again…” is what he promises each time he disrespects you in front of your friends and yet he does it again and again…

“Anything you need, I’m here for you” is what he says and then conveniently plays Houdini at the most critical times in your life.

“I just need some more time Babe, just be patient” is what he says every time you ask him about where your relationship with him is going yet he has time for everything else…

If his actions don’t align with his words, walk away.

ACTIONS reflect the true character of a person.

Does this advice resonate with you? If so, say so in the comments.

  1. More silly rhymes from Brutus ….

    Actions are louder than words
But farts are much louder than turds
    If words are your calling
    Are you five-eighths of fuck-alling
    Divided by six and two-thirds?

For the smell is a basic reaction
    Digestion – Intestinal traction
    It won’t outlive the word
    Anymore than the turd
By a minute – or even a fraction

    A word is a weapon. A cause.
It fights minds and it rewrites the laws
    And I’d rather fight
With those who choose to write
Than with a million, who choose to fight wars

  3. Marquessa, it’s been ages since I read your blog. The last time I was seriously active on WordPress was four years ago, for the 2017 AtoZ Blogging Challenge. I loved loved your stories. Look forward to your posts this month!

  4. As a former therapist working with women survivors of violence, I have to say yes, yes, yes to your post. I’ve certainly seen the heartbreaking result that can occur when you ignore actions in favor of what’s being said.
