Smells like September

As much as I am a summer girl, I do love fall.

Even more than the new year, September always gives me a sense of renewal and inspiration, as if brand new opportunities and fresh starts are ripe for the taking.

The crispness of the air, children gathered on street corners waiting for school buses, the smell of new stationary and pens…

When I was a kid, I looked forward to going back to school as it was a nice change from being home all summer with not much to do…

Funny enough, I don’t long to go back to those days but I’m not too keen on the ones I am having now either so I’ll take whatever good I can get. My only plan for the next few weeks is to get my newsletter sorted out after procrastinating for so long.

What will your September hold?

  1. I love fall too… Especially here. The change of colours is just so so so lovely 😉 But I do hope we’ll get a warm start of the month, because we’re going to a little cabin in the woods, by a lake next week 😛 *Fingers crossed for at least one dip in the lake without getting blue lips, hehehehe*

  2. Fall was always my favorite time of year, and September my favorite month.I too loved returning to school, and the crispness in the air.

I loved September so much, it was the month I chose to get married. And of course, that hasn’t worked out well for me these last two years, but this year I’m working on the positive things in life, and happiness and joy.

And all the wonderful memories of past Septembers.

  3. We moved into our new apartment in August, so we’re looking forward to getting to host some small dinner parties in September! And hopefully a return to more regular writing once our evenings are less cluttered with unpacking and building furniture.
